Moriarty’s back to Germany, starting with Bremen & Hamburg. Hectic days, interviews on Radio Bremen and Byte FM Hamburg, a showcase at Michelle’s indie record store and gigs at the Kulturetage in Oldenburg & Kampnagel in Hamburg für die Krimiwoche (!)

Letters from the Missing Room

At last! The vinyl 12-inch version of the Missing Room is on its way! It will come within a black cardboard silkscreen-printed sleeve, with a 24-page full-size booklet illustrated by Zim Moriarty. And thanks to the patient work of the volunteer team (Tom, Zim, Charlie, Rosemary, Arthur, Dana, Mae, Ludo, Laure-Anne, Constance, Emile, Sylvie, Dominique, Idriss, Juliette, Audrey, Ana, Ambra...

Envelopes II

Hand-making the special envelopes for the Missing Room’s vinyl edition. Today at the Air Rytmo mini-factory, with the helpful hands of ten volunteers, we managed to finish about six hundred hand-crafted and unique pieces, that will be dispatched into the LP record sleeves in a few weeks… no robots, computers or machines were used or harmed in the process. Thanks for your patience.

Lacquer master

The needle carves a groove into the shiny black lacquer surface, translating the Missing Room into a thin little spiralling line, like ripples on a petroleum lake. In the meantime a thunderstorm is brewing outside. Translab vinyl mastering studios, Paris, August 2011.
