Moriarty\u2019s fourth album starts where \u201cThe Missing Room\u201d ended: at the threshold of another world \u2013 the realm of spirits, ghosts and wandering souls. It is not -however- an album about death, but rather a journey through a land known as the \u201cUnderworld\u201d, or the \u201cAfterworld\u201d. In 2014, After a few years of touring, we opened our archives, our suitcases and notebooks filled with unfinished fragments, forgotten instrumentals and obscure lyrics. We found old tracks recorded on tapes (and dictaphones), captured in the backstage of theaters, hotels and remote hideouts. songs we had once improvised, then lost and\u00a0forgotten (\u201cG.I. Jesus\u201d, \u201cReverse\/Anger\u201d, \u201cLong Is The Night\u201d\u2026). Stories of love and loss we had written and recorded in the attic of a farmhouse (\u201cMilena\u201d, \u201cMaybe a little lie\u201d\u2026). Riding bicycles through the summer rain in Kyoto, we sung aloud the story of a fallen\u00a0man (\u201cGinger Joe\u201d)\u2026 a few years later we recorded a first version of the song with the sorcerers of cajun, Mama Rosin.
\nThere was, also, a radio drama inspired by Bulgakov\u2019s \u201cMaster & Margarita\u201d, for which we wrote songs about demons, witches and dissidents (\u201cLong Live The (D)evil\u201d, \u201cWhen I Ride\u201d, \u201cAcross From My Windows\u201d, \u201cFire Fire\u201d\u2026) back in our hometown, we settled down and let a few stories emerge in the cold December light, songs about fate, friendship and hidden secrets (\u201cDiamonds Never Die\u201d, \u201cHistory of violence\u201d)\u2026<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
